Installing patch 3 over a patch 2 or patch 1 installation only adds the file or files reported in th HELP ABOUT UPDATES that was not otherwise included in patch 1 or patch 2 and reside in the following directories. Patch 3 incorporates the following change: 1) The reports tool has changed to display a 24 hour clock when viewing reports. The solvents report function has been fixed to display in the 24 hour clock mode regardless of reginal settings mode with in the PC. ------------------ HELP ABOUT UPDATES ------------------ When viewing within the Help About versioning tab, the following modules version numbers have changed to the specific versions as follows. TPWICP 1.1.3.66 Reports Tool 1.1.3.66 -------------------------------- UPDATES INCLUDED IN APW3 PATCH 2 -------------------------------- Patch 2 includes all of the updates included in Patch 1, plus the following change. Installing patch 2 over a patch 1 installation only adds one file that was not otherwise included in patch 1. This file is named: "Homogenizer.dll" and is installed in the following directory: c:\program files\caliperls\apw After installation of patch 2, please verify that this file has been properly installed. a. This is accomplished by right-clicking on the "Homogenizer.dll" file located in the above directory. b. Select "Properties" from the Menu and then click on the "Version" tab. The version of this file should read "1.1.2.66". Patch 2 incorporates the following change: 1) This patch corrects an issue where previously stored Homogenizer calibration slope and y-intercept values may potentially be discarded following a loss of power to the TPW3 Workstation. When this occurs, these values are reset to their factory default values. In such cases, the slope is set equal to one and the y-intercept is set equal to zero. - The slope and y-intercept values are now properly recovered and Homogenizer calibration properly maintained following a loss of power to the TPW3. -------------------------------- UPDATES INCLUDED IN APW3 PATCH 1 -------------------------------- Patch 1 includes the following changes: 1) Ability to add 520mL of volume to the Vessel in TPW3 Tablet and Powder Methods: - The previous volume was 500mL max. The volume has been increased to allow the user to enter a maximum volume of up to 520mLs to the vessel. 2) Allow certain diagnostic routines to fill vessel to 520mL: - The previous volume was 500mL max. The volume has been increased to allow the user to enter a maximum volume of up to 520mLs to the vessel. Note that vessel wash operations are still limited to a maximum of 500mL. 3) Extended the evacuation time that the air pump is on an extra 15 seconds: - The air pump is now staying on an extra 15 seconds to ensure that the maximum amount of volume has been pumped out of the vessel. 4) Regional settings within the computer can be set to any setting: - When the regional setting was set to any setting other than English (United States) and then a print preview was performed within the report function, the report displayed in a format showing the data out of chronological order. The issue was how the date/time format was being set up in a different language. 5) Corrects the issue of using incorrect solvent density for determination of vessel residual volume and probe holdup volume: - Residual volume is now being calculated using the density of the last solvent that was used in the wash routine. 6) Correct operation of TPW3 shaker: - Allow large unidirectional movements to support new shaking functionality. - Correct operation of TPW3 shaker. - Add "Shaker" control button in Manual Control mode, and also Setup and Calibrate mode. - Changed the Tipper motor's running and holding current to that appropriate for the motor being used. 7) Corrected the issue of the density in the Reagents table not updating when reagents were being used in the Add Powder LUO: - This issue was corrected so that when a Density within the Reagents table is updated, it is updated for all LUO's. 8) Corrected the initialization of the Filter during certain routines: - The filter is now initialized before closing the filter during diagnostics. 9) Corrected the issue of clearing the transfer line when the pump reverses to pump the remaining homogenate in the line back into the vessel: - The flowrate was changed from 0.5 mLs/sec to 0.2 mLs/sec. - The issue was residual volume being left in the tubing after the FMI pump had reversed to clear the line. The flow rate was reduced to ensure that the line is evacuated. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------------------- UPDATES INCLUDED IN APW3 PATCH 3 -------------------------------- Patch 3 includes all of the updates included in Patch 1 and patch 2, plus the following change. The user can then inappropriately access all methods by that name, regardless of method state (Approved or In Development). It is at this time that, by selecting the Advanced button, the operator has the ability to select all revisions of a specific method. If a runlist is created with non-approved methods, then the runlist can be saved and accessed by users with "Operator" rights and run. By definition, "Operators" means that they have rights to create and execute runlists from methods that have been approved. 2) When using large tubes for the TPW3, there is not an option to test the specific rack positions after being taught. If testing or verifying rack positions must happen, then testing must be performed with 16x100 mm tubes. ------------ REQUIREMENTS ------------ *** PRODUCT SOFTWARE *** APW3 software Version 1.1.0.66 or higher must be installed prior to installing patch 2.
