Development ADME

Our Development ADME program is for those researchers with drug candidates further in development.  Here, our scientists will work with you to customize programs which can include Maximum Tolerated DOSE (MTD), as well as other PK studies.  These are useful tools to characterize lead compounds for in vivo acute toxicites via multiple (or different) routes of drug administration (i.p., i.v., p.o.) These studies can also provide LDLo values of lead compounds in a specified rodent species by a specified route.

Formulation

Drug formulation is the development of a customized dosage form for a specific administration route.  Our scientists have over 15 years of experience in this field and can work with a range of administration routes that are currently employed in practice today.

Rat and Mouse PK

Pharmacokinetic data is key when evaluating new chemical entities.  CDAS scientists perform rat and mouse PK studies for new and experimental drugs.  Our pharmaceutically trained staff will assist you in developing models supplied by CDAS or by you in a variey of animals for standard drug efficacy testing.

Rat and Mouse MTD

MTD (maximum tolterated dosage) is normally required prior to any in vivo study, including efficacy and PK studies.  Appropriate subjects include different strains of mouse and/or rat which will be selected according to the need of efficacy or PK requirement.  The study subjects (n=3 or also customized according to specific request) will be treated with escalating dose of test compounds (eg: vehicle, 1mg/kg, 5mg/kg, 10mg/kg, 20mg/kg, etc.).
