Bmp4-luc
Overview
Bmp4-luc BP (P/N 119326) Breeding Pair or Bmp4-luc Xen (P/N 119341) Individual Animal
Light producing animal model (LPTA®) FVB/N-Tg(Bmp4-luc)-Xen, commonly called Bmp4-luc, carries a transgene containing a 2.4 kb murine Bone Morphogenitic Protein-4 (Bmp4) promoter and modified firefly luciferase cDNA (Promega pGL-3). In adults, basal expression of the reporter is observed in paws (nail beds) and teeth (incisors), and is up-regulated during hair growth and tissue repair. Luminometer assays or organ lysates prepared from adult females quantify Bmp4-luc expression as high in skin but less so in bone and muscle. Bmp4-luc expressed occurs during wound healing and was shown to be highly sensitive to down regulation by estrogen. This LPTA® animal model is available from Xenogen Biosciences, Cranbury, New Jersey, USA.| Model: | Miscellaneous Disease Model |
